Airport visions for 2030
The ideas that will define the airports of the future are born in Hamburg. Researchers at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) along with numerous industrial and university research partners in the third flagship Leading-Edge Cluster project, “Airport 2030”, presented their findings at Hamburg Airport on 27 and 28 November, 2013. The five-year funding programme from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, awarded to Hamburg Aviation for winning the Leading-Edge Cluster competition, is now finished.

Two Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services trainees win top honors
Best warehouse logistics specialists in Hamburg and HesseLufthansa Technik Logistik Services (LTLS) is celebrating a double victory among its trainees. Hard on the heels of Martin Meryk's award as the best specialist in warehouse logistics in the German state of Hesse, Kristin Klemm won a comparable award from the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. This means that in 2013, LTLS was home to the best trainees in the state at its two most important training locations.

AIRBUS “FLYING GREEN EXPERIENCE” receives RED DOT AWARD
Airbus in Hamburg has received the highly regarded Red Dot Award in the “Communications Design” category for its development of an interactive showcase platform related to the challenges of future air transportation. The “Flying Green Experience” takes the visitor on a journey through the global aviation environment and explains the current research activities of Airbus and its partners, aimed at making the industry more efficient with resources and environmentally sound.
